Kaylie Harrison, 29, and Patrick Chaplin, 32, returned to the scene of the crime for their vintage beach wedding.
“My beautiful husband and I met and shared our first kiss at a caravan park called Kioloa Beach on the south coast of NSW when we were just kids,” explains Kaylie. Fast forward 10 years later and Patrick proposed. The choice of wedding venue was an obvious one. “We decided we wanted to share our first kiss as husband and wife and celebrate out love where it all began,” says Kaylie.
So with their 180 guests, the pair headed to Kioloa Beach on the NSW south coast for their February 22, 2014 wedding. “Hours, days and weeks were spent with gorgeous family and friends hand making so many lovely items for the day,” smiles Kaylie. “We had to organise and truck down pretty much everything ourselves.”
A décor highlight, among many, were the several rustic wooden road signs Kaylie made to lead their guests from 135km away. “It took a lot of hard work and lots of lovely helping hands but we created the most beautiful setting.”

The bride and groom made their wedding a weekend affair, hosting a dinner on the Friday and barbecue on the Sunday.
Kaylie pulled together the help of family and friends to create the special touches for their wedding day.
Kaylie’s gown was by Sarah Alice Andrews. “They listened to my vision and brought it to life,” she says.
Vintage push bikes replaced the traditional bridal cars.
“There was enough love and laughter to last a lifetime,” says Kaylie of their wedding day.
