Wow, what a year 2012 was. We’ve written hundreds of stories, from in-depth features on wedding trends to fun pieces on celebrity weddings as well as our core stories on wedding tips, tricks and trends .
Of the hundreds of stories we shared with you, here are the 10 you found most fascinating:
10. Is it OK to have just one bridesmaid?
Our Ask Samantha column received the following question: I don’t have sisters or a lot of close friends. I have only one very dear friend. Is it OK to have just a single bridesmaid rather than a whole lot of bridesmaids?

8. Morning-after wedding photos. The next big thing?
From pre-engagement and engagement shoots before the wedding to trash-the-dress shoots after, when it comes to a couple’s big day, every moment can be (and usually is) obsessively documented – and that doesn’t even include the 1000 or so shots snapped on the wedding day itself. However, a racy new trend in wedding photography is emerging, morning-after wedding photos.

7. How much does a wedding planner cost?
One of our brides emailed our Ask Samantha column asking, “Help! I need to hire a wedding planner but how much do they charge?”. The answer depends on where you live, how complex your wedding is and what exactly you need your planner to do, but you can read the full answer here.

6. Should I wear my wedding engagement ring during my wedding ceremony?
Another Ask Samantha question, this Easy Weddings bride wanted to know whether it was appropriate to wear her engagement ring during her wedding ceremony and, if not, at what point during her wedding day she could wear them together.
5. Groom dies at his own wedding ceremony
The tragic tale of a Brazilian groom has died in a freak accident just hours after marrying the love of his life. Fabio Jefferson dos Santos Maciel, a sergeant in Brazil’s navy, tripped breaking a beer glass that cut him and caused him to bleed to death.

4. Michael Buble gets his gal
We’re not surprised to see that the story about one of our favourite crooners, the super spunky Mr Michael Buble, being off the market was a hit, even a year later!
The Canadian crooner wed 23-year-old Argentinian model and soapie star Luisana Lopilato in a cival ceremony in Buenos Aires in April 2011 and there was obviously still interest in it in 2012.

3.WWW: Wishing well wording that won’t offend
Whether you’re asking for a loan, a pay raise or for guests to contribute to a wishing well at your wedding, requests for money can be difficult, if not downright embarrassing.
That’s why asking guests for cash presents rather than traditional wrapped gifts can be awkward.

2. The wedding photo banned by Facebook
It’s one of Jo-Hanna Gordon’s favourite moments from her wedding day, feeding her six-and-a-half-month-old son Andy before heading off to church to marry his father. But not everyone saw the beauty in the image and, after a Facebook user reported the image, it was removed, much to the 25-year-old Easy Weddings’ bride’s chagrin.

1. Wedding vows to take his (or her) breath away
You don’t have to be Shakespeare to write your own vows, you just have to be sincere.
Vows are integral to your wedding ceremony and should be just as unique as you are, so why not write your own?
