An emotional best-man’s speech by Melbourne songwriter Daniel Buccheri’s has gone viral after it was uploaded to YouTube on Friday.
Instead of giving a traditional spoken best-man’s speech at his brother’s wedding last month, Daniel used his musical skills to create a tear-jerking medley of popular love songs – all using his own words.
His beautiful ‘speech’ paid homage to the groom, Daniel’s older brother Adrian, and Adrian’s new wife, Sarah, both of whom watched on with both tears and fits of laughter.
While the new bride cried frequently and openly, Daniel’s big brother visibly fought to hold back his own tears, however, after a particularly emotional passage, in which Daniel proclaims his love for Adrian, the groom, too, breaks into tears of joy.
Included in the six-minute medley, which was filmed by the clever videographers at Wedding Movies, are portions of Sam Smith’s Stay With Me; The Police’s Every Breath You Take and Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight.
