After a few thousand emails I had given up hope of finding a photographer within our wedding budget. Our needs were very simple, we wanted 4-5 hours of photography on a high res disc, nothing more maybe a little less. Our budget just didn’t extend far enough to go with some of the amazing photographers that were out there. I was almost considering not feeding anyone at the reception to get a good photographer!
Given my luck finding anything I did what any Gen Y bride in wedding planning despair would do – I went and checked my Facebook. Surprisingly this didn’t actually yield any results, I know I was just as shocked!
Then I did what most brides do when they need help – I went to the Easy Weddings Facebook page, and started reading through some posts. I just happened to come across one asking for wedding photography in Melbourne and this is how I found Claire from Captured by Claire. Her photos are simply gorgeous and her packages were exactly what we wanted, all images on a high res disc, no frills or extras.
So I thought I had the photography thing covered, little did I know! Being the moderator on Australia’s greatest wedding forum (it’s true just ask any of the forum girls!) has its advantages. A photographer posted an offer to all our brides – free wedding photography, all day and all images on a high res disc, all for the fabulous price of…Nothing! Gary is launching a website and needs wedding images – he is also doing an engagement shoot for us – so we get two photographers and all within our budget!
