As my family is Indian and we aren’t having an Indian wedding I wanted to honour that part of my heritage by adding a few elements into our wedding. So after the first lot of photos – after the ceremony, I will be changing into an Indian outfit.
I am looking at a red, blue or ivory coloured skirt and top – and I have spent more time trying to find this outfit than any other part of my wedding day! If you have ever been to an Indian wedding you will know that they are full of colour and heaps of bling and I am just not a super-blingy person. So trying to find a simple Indian outfit that was still suitable for a wedding reception was a challenge.
I think I may have RSI in my index finger from clicking on links and page numbers…there are millions – and I’m not even exaggerating here – of Indian outfits. Pages and pages of Bollywood Bling and not one of them fit the picture I had in my head.
