Well, we never thought Mickey Mouse would make us cry, but watching this brilliant proposal from Melbourne comedian Jehan Ratnatunga had us in tears – but fits of laughter, too!
The comedian, who is currently working in Los Angeles, secretly flew back to Melbourne to pop the question to his now fiancee Vishanti – and he did it in absolute style, combining her all her favourite artists into a single dance routine at the end of which he got down on one knee and proposed.
‘The idea was to combine all the things she loves,” says the groom in the video’s introduction, “so if you’re watching, you need to know that she loves Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Rajinikanth, Beyonce and Minnie Mouse.”
The video starts with the bride-to-be’s friend, who’s in it, showing her a YouTube video of her favourite song from her favourite Bollywood movie, “but I’ve recreated the whole thing with Mickey and Minnie Mouse doing all the dance moves,” adds the groom.
