The Grade I/ II heritage listed Andaz Hotel, adjacent to Liverpool Street station is one of the most emblematic hotels in London - a fine example of one of London’s original railway hotels. The building by renowned architect Charles Barry Junior (his father was responsible for the Houses of Parliament), is of red brick with stucco and stone ground floor, combining modern style with elegant Victorian interiors. With its quirky and decadent features, the Andaz Hotel is a unique setting for your wedding celebrations.

Formally known as the Great Eastern, the hotel boasts a fascinating history and is also mentioned in one of Literature’s greatest Gothic novels, Dracula, where vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing stayed during his first visit to London.

Set in what was once the Great Eastern Hotel’s original ballroom, the striking Grade II listed 1901 Restaurant can be exclusively hired for up to 180 dinner dance. The original stained glass dome is a beguiling detail, perfect for a first dance under the stars. The simple, clean lines of the Great Eastern Room, is paired beautifully with the vast open space of the 6 storey, glass riffed Gallery next door. Together, the rooms offer the largest space for your dinner dance, accommodating up to 220.

Another place to celebrate is in the Bishopsgate room featuring chandeliers and sublime fireplaces. The bride can also make use of the adjoining Chancery room to get ready. With light filled high ceilings and romantic ornate detailing, The Fenchurch room is another popular choice. Meanwhile, the more adventurous couple can opt for the interactive dining experience at the Andaz Studio, a one-of-a-kind spot in London. The private dining room with a state of the art show kitchen, where chefs interact with guests as they cook, is a fashionable concept for those looking for something different.

However, the Grecian-styled Masonic Temple is perhaps Andaz’s best-kept secret, making it a unique setting to host your wedding. Hidden behind a wall for decades, concealed by heavy, studded doors and accessed via a winding staircase, this lodge was only discovered during renovations. This forgotten grandiose chamber includes an organ, hand-carved throne-like mahogany chairs, bronze candelabras on claw feet, and no less than 12 different types of Italian marble used in the floor, columns and walls. The ceiling, a blue and gold dome, complements the checkerboard floor and discreet esoteric insignias. It is no surprise, Forbes Magazine listed the Temple in London’s Top 10 most stunning private dining rooms for up to 44 seated.

Newlyweds can host a post celebration brunch at the hotel’s Eastway restaurant. The New York Style brasserie serves traditional breakfast classics alongside their popular DIY Bloody Mary bar, perfect for the morning after the night before.

The Andaz hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding we have no regrets. From the moment we arrived it was everything we hoped for and more. Champagne on arrival, greeted by the friendly concierge. The bridal suite was fantastic, spacious, modern and immaculate. Madeleine, the events team and all the staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.
