Haymarket Hotel, situated in the West End, is housed in a landmark building designed by John Nash, the legendary Regency and Georgian architect behind Buckingham Palace, Brighton Pavilion, Marble Arch, Regent’s Park and its terraces to name a few. Owner and Design Director, Kit Kemp has fused contemporary and classical interior references in a remarkable combination that honours the building’s noble lineage whilst updating it with a contemporary English style. Kit Kemp’s extraordinary attention to detail is evident everywhere. The lobby is a clean airy space featuring a stainless steel sculpture by Tony Cragg and large black and white paintings of the London skyline by John Virtue. Each room, event spaces and bedrooms, has its own particular style with handpicked antiques and objects as well as original paintings by modern artists.

The boutique hotel has several stunning private event spaces which are beautifully designed and decorated, and can easily be transformed to accommodate your special day. The spectacular venue compromises of 50 exquisitely individually designed bedrooms and suites, an exclusive 2-5 bedroom townhouse - a real home from home in the ultra-central London location, uniquely designed function rooms including the elegant Shooting Gallery and a stunning pool area featuring a bespoke light installation.

The spectacular Shooting Gallery is an impressive 18 metre long space with striking 5 meter high ceilings which can accommodate up to 90 guests for a romantic ceremony, 70 sumptuous private dining or lavish cocktail party for 120. The walls are covered in a dramatic de Gournay wallpaper featuring jungle landscapes in grey sepia tones, Oliver Messel's illustrations of costume designs for a production of Anthony and Cleopatra and an eclectic collection of furniture including 70’s lucite tables and lamps.

The Pool Area, complete with its own bar and lounge, is a stunning space suitable for all types of wedding celebrations. It is a grand and modern space with a sleek 18m swimming pool, edged in stone, surrounded by acres of grey oak and has a ceiling covered in hundred of fibre-optic lights. There is an impressive pewter bar and spectacular lighting scheme with an ever-changing colourful light installation. The pool can be customised with beautiful floating candles or completely covered to create a fabulous dance floor. Champagne and canapes can be served in the very regal looking library, before a silver service dinner in the funky lit basement pool area for up to 220 guests.

Of the four event rooms available for hire, there are two smaller more intimate rooms, Rocklin and Nash which would suit groups of 30 and under.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our wedding. We were made to feel so welcome. The service was superb and not overbearing. Extremely helpful desk staff and concierge and doormen. We were upgraded to a junior suite - the room was wonderful - great decor and nice view out on Haymarket. The breakfast was excellent. Room service was very fast and the food excellent. We were sad to check out - the experience at The Haymarket Hotel was outstanding and really helped us to relax prior to our wedding. They even put a bottle of champagne in our room on our wedding night. They also accommodated out two young children free of charge and provided our 3 year old with her own little dressing gown and toiletries. A lovely touch. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at the Haymarket for 70 guests. We also stayed for 2 nights in one of the deluxe suites. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect - the welcome from reception staff, the catering, the quality of the rooms and service throughout our stay. Numerous guests commented on how fabulous this hotel is in so many ways. It's stylish yet comfortable and beautifully-designed by Kit Kemp. The location is excellent and it's a real treat having an indoor pool. There is nothing to fault at the Haymarket and I can only give praise. We travel a lot and to the highest-quality hotels but we'd rank the service at the at The Haymarket as the best we've ever experienced.

We stayed here for 1 night to celebrate our wedding and the staff were so kind and friendly to us. The level of service is always excellent, they seem to know what you're about to ask and have everything covered. We had a large suite with separate living room and fully equipped kitchen and we did not hear any street noise given the proximity of the hotel to busy streets outside. They had a bottle of champagne and cakes in the room upon arrival which was a nice touch. The room decor is typical Firmdale townhouse style so warm and cosy and every kind of amenity you can think of was there. I tried the indoor swimming pool which was a touch too cold but the setting in the trendy basement area was particularly unique. Breakfast was served quickly and with great choice of food. Location is excellent for shopping, dining and sight seeing in central London - everything is within easy reach. Always enjoy my time at these places even if it was just for 1 night - treated like royalty
