This cheeky British groom has orchestrated a most unusual pre-wedding photoshoot. He ditched his bride in favour of his best man – and the results are priceless.

Newcastle groom John Taylor has celebrated his bromance with best mate Andy Pemberton by replacing his lovely bride Lisa in a series of comical pre-wedding photos. The shots include the bromantic pair in adjacent bathtubs watching TV, sharing an morning cuppa while wearing bathrobes, and of course spooning in bed.

The shots were all with all with the brides blessing.

“I think my wife knows that he comes as part of the package,” the groom joked to Buzzfeed about his best mate, whom he met in 2003.

Local Newcastle wedding photographer Katie Byram arrived at a suite at Hotel De Vin on the day of the wedding, September 25, 2015, expecting to shoot a typical set of photos of the groom and his best man getting prepared for the big day.

John and Andy had other ideas though. They were set on celebrating their 12 years of friendship and their shared quirky sense of humour.

The lively lads greeted the unsuspecting photographer at the door in matching bath robes and proceeded to lead her through a string of comical poses, highlighting their true bromance.

“The whole shoot was led by them.”Katie told the Huffington Post.

“I normally take photographs of guys putting on their ties and buttonholes but they wanted something a lot less traditional and a lot more fun.

“We were roaring with laughter through much of it.”

So what did the bride think of it all?

“She totally gets the bromance and loved the photos when she saw them!” John adds.

“Some of the photos were even included in the wedding album!”
