Andrew Welford Photography is based in Hull, East Yorkshire but Andy has several camera bags and will travel.
Andrew welford has loved taking photographs from the first time he picked up a camera as a young lad. Raising his family and working in a different profession meant that his photography was a hobby for some years. During this period in his life he was able to refine his skills, both creatively and technically and experiment with the styles and subject matter that inspired him.Andrew after some time andy began to use the time between wedding commissions to extend his portfolio and took on assignments including portraits, capturing special occasions and commercial photography.
Andy is more than just a talented photographer. His ability to put people at ease means his subjects are relaxed and comfortable and the photographs bring out their best. He relishes the challenge of photographing people who do not normally enjoy having their photograph taken because he knows that he can make them reconsider. If andy had put a tenner in a savings account every time a photo-phobic person gasped in amazement at the beautiful photographs he had taken of them he would be sunning himself on the bahamas right now. Of course he didn’t – he spent it on more camera kit instead.
Aside from his commissioned work andy also has an extensive portfolio of art photography with subjects ranging from people to nature and landscapes and exhibits regularly.
