My style is relaxed, quirky, vintage & spontaneous. I believe in capturing those fleeting moments of emotion, expression… Love.
Perhaps the fact I have a name for each of my cameras says more about me than this page ever could. I’d like to think that somewhere down the line a negative developed in my noggin & blessed me with the ability to make the world look beautiful. But the reality is my love of photography has always existed & my adoration of the still image is an extension of my passion for film. After studying a BA in film & TV production & realising I’m not the next Wes Anderson. Beginnings within fine art & travel photography turned into a hunger for photojournalism. This fast paced & emotive style naturally led me to wedding photography.
I’ve been accused of turning up to weddings with a camera in every pocket. Unlike a lot of photographers, I still shoot film alongside digital. Seeing a couples expression as you take out a plastic camera & reveling in the unpredictability of the medium only fuels my aesthetic. My style is relaxed, quirky, vintage & spontaneous. I believe in capturing those fleeting moments of emotion, expression… Love. Of course having a few laughs along the way is always a bonus. Weddings for me are about family, they’re about those brief moments of interaction in between the staged portraits of old. Of course everyone wants that posed image of their 90 year old Nan smoking a cebratory Cuban cigar like Fidel Castro.
