I am an experienced guitarist/vocalist – as a performer, teacher, composer and band leader, based near Northampton. My styles include Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, Folk and Classical.

I am an advocate of live music at all venues, whether for background or dancing. I perform either as a soloist or with other musicians and singers, to suit your budget and requirements. The size of band can vary up to a six-piece, playing all types of music – from pop, rock and ballroom to jazz, blues and soul.

Mellow guitar music – a large repertoire to suit all tastes provides the perfect ambient background for your restaurant, wedding ceremony/reception or private party. An excellent female singer or other musicians can be added if required.

A combination of guitar/vocals plus keyboards, saxophone, bass and drums as required. All are very accomplished players; the jazz repertoire is mainly swing and Latin American.

I teach at my home studio near Northampton. Lessons can be for half-hour or one–hour sessions. Amplification is available if required – just bring your guitar.

Guitars come in all shapes and sizes and it’s important to buy the right one to suit both your physical ability and the style of playing you’re interested in. I recommend my one hour ‘taster’ session where you can try several different guitars and listen to various playing styles to help you decide. I can recommend local suppliers for new instruments and I occasionally have second hand guitars for sale.
