Feathers Favours & Balloons

My name is Jess Reed and I first discovered my love of Balloons when I started working for Vale Balloons 5 years ago. I started off with absolutely no knowledge of balloons apart from the odd one I bought for loved ones and the fact that they float, little did I know how versatile balloons were and how they would soon become part of my life! Nikki Moran the owner of Vale Balloons has taught me everything she knows and often jokes that I am better than she is but joking aside I discovered that with a bit of training Balloon art/decoration came quite naturally to me and I am proud to call myself a balloon artist.

Working with balloons opened my eyes to my artistic flare and I started to think what else could I do? I did some brain storming and I just kept coming back to feathers but the big question was what could I do with them? After discovering some websites with ostrich feather centerpieces I also noticed that glass fish bowls went hand in hand with them. After watching hundreds of, 'how to make' videos on YouTube my next step was a trip to a local florist outlet. I purchased the elements to start creating my own take on these centerpieces. After lots of hours of trial and error, I took some to work and showed them to friends and family, feedback was much more than I expected.
