It wasn’t her milkshakes bringing all the boys to the yard but her ice creams didn’t do too badly.
Lauren Gauci, 24, met her groom Benjamin Purdie, 26, while working at an ice cream shop. “Ben used to come to buy hot dogs after he finished work,” laughs Lauren. “After many months of flirting Ben finally got my number and made the call.”
Since then the pair have had a son, Jackson, and bought their first home. “Ben proposed to me at Jackson’s first birthday in front of 100 of our closest family and friends with an amazing ring he designed for me,” says Lauren. “He is an extremely hard working man who is very loyal and family orientated.”
Their vintage pastel wedding on September 14, 2014 took place at Yarra Ranges Estate in Monbulk, Victoria. “Our wedding was hardly work because we had picked the venue years before after we fell in love with the food they serve,” says Lauren. “The wedding day all went to plan and all our guests raved about how it was the best wedding they had ever attended.”
Lauren and Ben headed to Phuket, Thailand for their honeymoon.
Lauren’s gown was from Fairytales Bridal Boutique. It featured a pretty asymmetrical peplum design.
