November 19th came and went with a bang! Our engagement party was a blast and we had so much fun.
The day was wet and windy so we had to postpone the engagement shoot. But that still left us with plenty to do on the day.
We picked up the lovely Mel from BlackCatsAngel Designs and while Craig went off to help with the hall set up, we had our makeup trial! She also took photos on the night which was lovely of her!

Then we headed over to the hall and walked into the madness! So many family and friends I’m sure we missed saying hello to so many people – granted there were 160 of them! Craig was a bit nervous about being surrounded by that many of my family members but he did really well!
As with all Indian functions there was lots of food, colour and laughter. My uncles did a fantastic job with the food – everyone is still talking about the dinner!
My Dad’s speech was a hit – he was very funny and sweet, there were lots of love quotes and i think my favourite line was “When Craig told us he wanted to ask us something, I thought he was oging to ask us for money, so when he asked for our blessing to marry Karishma – I was very relieved!” Yeah he’s a charmer, my dad.
We had heaps of fun with the photobooth from Event Photo booth, the kids hijacked it a bit but at least they had something to keep them occupied. Alex has also been kind enough to pop a USB of the photos in the mail for us! So can’t wait to see all the photos.
Overall we had a great night and so did our guests, so what more can we ask for? Now we have 122 days till the next big party, so much to do!
