Draped in gold jewellery and a beautifully decorated red sari, Ayesha Upadhayay looked like a traditional Indian bride – except for her aviator sunnies – and the motorcycle she rode into her wedding ceremony.
The 26-year-old professor of Computer Science ditched the traditional bridal carriage, called a doli, for a Royal Enfield Bullet when she wed her businessman fiance Lokik, on January 26, 2016.
The video of her unconventional – but very cool – entrance (above) was posted by Indian news site, ABP News, and shows the bad-ass bride draped in gold jewellery, rolling in on her beloved bike.
“Since I was 13-year-old, I have been riding the bike.” the motorbike fanatic told ABP News. “We also have a biker group.
“I love bullet and I told my parents that I want to enter the stage on the bike and not in doli.”
Ayesha’s new hubby isn’t as fond of motorcycles. In fact, he has never even ridden on one, but we suspect he’ll be happy to be taken for a ride by his biker-bride.
