OVERVIEW

Down for the Count is a group of professional musicians brought together by a love of jazz, swing and soul music.

We have been performing together since 2005 and over the past 12 years have provided live entertainment at hundreds of events throughout the UK and internationally.

We perform in various large and small line-ups to suit different events.  Our smaller line-ups are ideal for background music - we can provide the perfect entertainment for any event.  We can also provide cocktail pianists, wedding ceremony music, and piano-vocal duos performing vintage and contemporary repertoire.

You can book multiple line-ups together to make a fully customisable entertainment package. For example, you can book a classical pianist for your wedding ceremony, Alexander's Ragtime Band for your outdoor drinks reception, and round off the evening with two dancing sets from our Swing & Soul Band.

We have a wealth of experience, our list of previous clients include Virgin, BMW, Lindt, Dell and Harvey Nichols, and we have performed at venues such as Wembley Stadium, The Savoy amongst many others.  There are plenty of different options, with great discounts on offer for booking more than one line-up - if you want to discuss things in more detail give us a call on 07855 488 462 or drop us an email and we can meet for coffee.

We just arrived back from honeymoon yesterday and I would like to say that the band were sensational. I don't think there was one point in the evening when the dance floor was not full of people, young and old. The mix of music was wonderful and the band themselves performed flawlessly. Our warmest thanks to the band and thank you so much Mike for persuading us to have the full 9-piece line-up - it made the evening.

We can't thank ‘Down For The Count' enough for providing such incredible live music and excellent service for our wedding and making a special day extra special. The music was of such a high standard the band were the talk of the evening. Everyone was asking "where did you find them they're amazing!" and many people felt like they were at a concert! The band got everyone on their feet dancing and mingling together from 2-92 year olds. It was just as I had dreamed and ended the evening on an incredible high. The band were the easiest planning part of the whole wedding for us as Mike was super quick at responding to my questions providing a friendly, professional and efficient service. Band leader for the evening Kate made everything run smoothly, and she was lovely and reassuring even when things were running a bit late. You're a lovely group of talented people who deserve every success that comes your way.

Thank you for everything! Down for the Count were superb - especially given the massive delay before being able to perform, and the fact that we forgot to bring the interval playlist(s)! A quick message to say thank you so much to Mike and the rest of the band for Saturday! We are so pleased we chose you to play at our wedding - you were absolutely brilliant. I love the fact we managed to sneak in a dance together before the rest of the guests made it to the dancefloor. That was a lovely a really memorable moment for us.
