Exclusive Wedding Cars

Exclusive Wedding Cars was established in 1989 by Melvyn & Anne Dignan, Exclusive Wedding Cars has grown to a fleet of 6 quality hand built vehicles as well as a Daimler DS420.

Having served his apprenticeship at Lucas, Melvyn obtained both his City and Guilds in motor vehicle mechanics and automotive electrical he then worked for 7 years for a large haulage company in charge of electrical maintenance. In 1983 he decided to “Go it alone” and started his own car repair garage which he successfully ran for 6 years up until 1989 when he decided to change direction and realize a long term dream and started Exclusive Wedding Cars.

His background in vehicle maintenance and repair enabled him to hand build the modern replicas you see today. Not only does Melvyn build his own fleet (With exception of the Daimler) he has also been commissioned by other customers to build their cars.

Anne’s background was in administration at a large PLC and has carried her skills over to the business. Anne is in charge of all things admin from initial contact with customers through to the companies accounts. As well as her admin duties she leads by example. Whenever the cars have appointments she is up early cleaning the cars ensuring that they leave the garage immaculate.
