Formerly the owner of a bakery and confectionery shop, Pauline Hook introduced Cake Design by Pauline to Yorkshire in 1983. Since then, word has spread quickly and her confections have included special cakes for corporate events, celebrities – even a ¼ ton model of Stoke Mandeville Hospital for the Jimmy Savile Appeal! It is though the design, baking, packaging and delivery of wedding cakes throughout Yorkshire which now takes up much of Pauline’s time and such is her love of the work that she invites your telephone call at any time – just to talk about your planned cake!

Everyone, Pauline maintains, has differing requirements and so all orders receive her individual attention and are preceded by detailed meetings and discussions in order to ensure ultimate complete satisfaction and delight. This is a quality service if ever there was one and completely in keeping with the unique importance of the event in question.

Pauline works from home and invites you there to discuss arrangements. It is, she says, “a one stop shop.” Starting with her unique design right through to delivery; everything is carried out in accordance with your budget; the cost being much lower than you might expect for such specialist work! It is an unusual and complete service -described by one client recently as being the icing on the cake!
