So, you’re married. Now what?

So you just had the wedding of your dreams. Of course, we hope it went off without a hitch, and you had the best time EVER. But here’s the next few things you should be doing post-wedding:

Review your suppliers:

Give your suppliers a little love and leave all them an online review here. If you really loved them, post the reviews on Facebook and Google too. Reviews really are helpful to quality suppliers, as it helps support their business, and helps other couples make their choice on who to book. Get your spouse to do some too if you cbf doing ALL of them.

Get Honeymoon ready:

If you’re heading on a honeymoon and you haven’t finished getting organised yet, then now is the time! Whether you’re heading off in a day or a few months, get that passport out, start packing or book that honeymoon package ASAP and start thinking about something that’s NOT your wedding. That’s over now and it’s time to RELAX!

Sell your dress:

If you wore a dress, get your dress to the dry cleaners and then… decide if it’s time to let that dress go to another home (but only if you want to!). Otherwise, there are plenty of other options. Like, having it boxed, framed and keeping it, having it make into something else (like a christening dress for a child or a cocktail dress), keeping it for your child, donating it to charity, or doing a trash the dress photo shoot.

Plan your goals with your spouse:

Yes, your SPOUSE! Discuss what’s next for you both. Do you want to start your own business and quit your 9-5? Do you want to buy a house in the next 5 years? Are you planning on getting fitter? Learning a language? To start investing in the stock market? To adopt a dog? Do you want to travel more? Whatever your goals for your lives are – discuss them as separate goals and joint goals, and work out how you will support each other in achieving them. Patiently wait for your wedding photos and video:

Of course, it can be hard to wait for the photos and video, but trust me, it’s worth the wait! When you book a quality wedding photographer and videographer, you will be astounded by the results. Trust us, you will cry while watching that video.
