A Kiwi couple were enjoying what they thought would be a typical wedding photo shoot on Saturday before they encountered New Zealand’s notorious Black Power gang. So, what did they they? They asked them to be part of one of their wedding photos and the result is truly special.
Photographer Rebecca Inns was taking newlyweds Matthew and Sarah Oke’s photos in the beautiful Lucy’s Gully on New Zealand’s North Island.
“We were up at Lucy’s Gully photographing with the bridal party.” Rebecca explained on her Facebook page,
“As we headed back to the cars we came across a very full car-park and the guys were there as part of a Hikoi around the mountain to pay respects to those passed away.
It was going to take a while to get our cars out and Jordan asked if it would be OK to include them in a wedding photo.
They were really accommodating and had a discussion among themselves and after some discussion they decided that it would be fine.”
The shot has since been shared on Facebook and has been liked over 6,000 times and shared more than 750 times.
