Happy Monday, folks! Check out this picture. It is, apprently, the first photograph ever taken by a human. Wow. We kind of take it for granted these days, but this photo was taken on Paris’ Boulevard du Temple in 1838. Aside from being one of the first photos ever taken, it’s also the first known photograph to include a human. At the time, taking photos required an exposure time of more than ten minutes, so all the people, carriages and other moving items don’t appear in the scene. However, in the bottom left-hand corner you can see a man who was relatively still for the entire time. Why? He was having his shoes shined! Just thought I’d share… awesome, non? Imagine if you had to wait 10 minutes to take A SINGLE wedding photo?
