Romance at work is not unusual, but when your dad is the boss, you might choose to keep it on the down-low.
At least Catherine Turner and Jonathon Sinnott did, both working for Jonathon’s dad. The couple, aged 33 and 35 respectively, kept their relationship secret for as long as they could. “My friends joke that they knew something was going on before we did,” says Catherine. “But actually, after starting our relationship it was a secret for a while.”
After the cat was out of the bag, their love grew even stronger and two years later they were engaged in Clifton overlooking the suspension bridge. “It wasn’t the actual bridge, because I developed a sudden case of vertigo when it was suggested we walk across it,” laughs Catherine.
They married at The Matara Centre in Tetbury, Wiltshire on May 6, 2016 with 120 guests in the day and 180 in the evening. The bride credits their loved ones for making it such a special occasion. “It was made possible with the support, time and effort of our friends and family,” praises Catherine.
