Victoria Laverty and Sebastian Hunt were both the last of their siblings to get married – so their wedding day was always going to be epic!
The Southport couple married at their classic wedding on July 30, 2016 in the presence of 170 guests. “We both have close and relatively large families so we knew we needed to throw a big, epic wedding,” explains the bride, 25 of her beau, 27. “Due to our tight budget everyone was roped into helping in some way and this made the wedding all the more personal as all our loved ones had been involved for the planning.”
The couple were married at the bride’s family church, St Philips. “Getting married in church was very special, it was the same church I had been christened in,” she says. “The sisters did readings and led a prayer and the whole service was so personal. We didn’t have enough tissues for everyone!”
The reception that followed at Hurlston Hall overlooked a golf course. “The reception was a lot of fun, we had a quiz before dinner which got all the tables talking and the food was delicious,” explains Victoria. She said guests tore it up on the dance floor after speeches “went off without a hitch.”

“Somehow we ended up with 11 men in the wedding suits!” says Vicky of the outfits from Formal Affair. “As well as the usual, we also had our grandfathers, brothers and uncles. The suits were all so lovely, we couldn’t resist.”
Seb surprised Vicky with a classic 1955 Bentley from Classic Wedding Cars. “Mum pulled back the curtains and I thought there was another wedding on our street,” laughs Vicky.
Vicky’s princess style gown from Francesca’s Bridal Wear featured a lace bodice and silver appliqué at the waist. “Francesca’s had a huge range and were so helpful in putting me in so many different styles,” she praises.
