So, today is my parents’ 40th (ruby) wedding anniversary! I’m in awe. What an achievement, to still be so happy and loving four decades later. I asked my mum what the secret to a happy marriage was and she said, “You never take a break from good manners.“ That’s so true… as long as you both respect one another, never take one another for granted (no matter how long you’ve been together or how close you grow) and never let kindness and care for your partner slide, you’ll have a strong bond that will last well beyond 40 years.
