So we’ve left all the beaches and we’re heading back into the city. Mind you it’s not like the city of Sydney.
Ho Chi Minh is hot, humid and sticky! But don’t let that deter you from coming here.
The city is a hodge podge mix of old style french colonial buildings, tiny little hidden alleys and your more modern city skyscrapers
The Majestic Saigon is positioned right next to the Saigon River and within walking distance to alot of the tourists attractions
There’s alot of shopping that can be done here and we did manage to fit in some time for some pampering at one of the spas we came across.
However the best part of this trip was all the food we ate! We were lucky enough to have Phuong’s cousin act as tour guide so he showed us all the best places to eat.
I just wish I’d taken the time to write down the names of these places because we’ll be heading back to Ho Chi Minh again on Boxing Day. We’re spending our New Year there as well as attending a wedding
Should be quite an experience to see whether their version of the “traditional” vietnamese wedding differs in any way to the weddings we’ve attended in Australia
