Themes are becoming more popular for modern weddings, even if your theme is just a simple colour scheme, and one of the best ways to showcase your theme if through your wedding flowers. Here are some ideas for various themes, such as flowers for vintage themed weddings.
Flower for vintage themed weddings
For your flower arrangements try to get hold of vintage tea pots and vases and fill them with roses, peonies, gardenias, celosia, dahlias, and ranunculus. To add a touch of gold try spraying some gardenia leaves with metallic paint and use them as the base of your bouquet. The colours to consider when choosing vintage wedding flowers are deep reds, pale pinks and gold.
Flowers for polka dot weddings
The most prevalent colour scheme for a polka dot themed wedding is white and pink, although you can have any combination you like; mint and duck egg blue are also very effective. Flowers that are most appropriate for a seaside theme include waxflower, veronica, eryngium and garden roses. The look should be natural and fresh with bouquets using colours such as yellows and greens. Try decorating your seaside bouquet or flower arrangements with seashells glued to lengths of wire that can be tied together with the flower stems using local materials such as twine.
