The mother of missing NSW teacher Stephanie Scott has said her daughter, who is due to marry this weekend, did not have cold feet.

Stephanie, who was last seen on Easter Sunday, planned to wed fiancee Aaron Woolley on Saturday in the NSW town of Eugowra, however her whereabouts is currently unknown.

Police and Stephanie’s family fear she may have crashed her car somewhere in NSW’s Riverina district having visited nearby Griffith to buy cufflinks for the groomsmen at her upcoming wedding.

“The day before she was shopping for things to take on the honeymoon. There is no way she had cold feet. Something has happened to her,” Stephanie’s mother Merrilyn Scott told the Daily Telegraph.

“She spoke to Aaron at 10am and then went to the school to do some things. At 11am she was seen at the school by the deputy head.”

“Then at 12 Aaron tried to ring her and there was nothing. Something has happened between 11 and twelve,’’ she added.

“Your mind keeps thinking of the worse. I cant eat or sleep. You hope maybe she has had an accident and can’t reach her phone.’’

Stephanie, who teaches English and drama at Leeton High School, was driving a red Mazda 3 sedan with registration BZ19CD.

Her sister Kim’s birthday was on Monday and she did not contact her. “That is not her,” said Mrs Scott.

Another friend wrote online, “No way it’s cold feet! Everyone that knows Steph knows it’s not cold feet!”

Anyone with information about Ms Scott’s location, or who has seen her vehicle in the past few days is urged to contact Griffith police on (02) 6969 4310 or to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
