You’d think the wedding of two of Hollywood’s brightest stars would have been a glamorous, celebrity-laden affair but for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, it was always going to be a private family occasion.
“We were all going to have a wedding,” Angeline told Vanity Fair magazine – and every member of their family played a part in their surprise August nuptials, held at their family home in France.
“There was no cake, so Pax made a cake. The kids made little pillows for the rings and Knox practiced [being a ring bearer] with an acorn that kept falling off the pillow.
“Brad’s mum went and picked some flowers and tied them up.”
Their beloved brood of six children even helped the newlyweds write their all-important wedding vows.
Angelina says, “They did not expect us never to fight, but they always made us promise to say ‘sorry’ if we do,” she recalled. “So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!'”
And, when asked if being married felt different, even after nine years of being partners, Angie said, “it does feel different.
“It feels nice to be husband and wife.”
