Beautiful Filipino bride Leizel Lequigan walked down the aisle on June 10 knowing she’d be a widow by nightfall.
Leizel and her fiance Rowden Go were to marry on July 8, to coincide with the groom’s thirtieth birthday but soon after their joyous May engagement, Rowden was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer, a particularly aggressive form of the disease
His health deteriorated quickly and the couple, who have a two-year-old daughter, Zakiah, together, realised Rowden wouldn’t likely survive until their July wedding date.
So, determined to give Rowden his last wish, – to marry Leizel – his family and the hospital organised a bed-side wedding in just 12 hours and, despite being too weak to sit up and entirely reliant on oxygen, Rowden managed to say, “I do” and to kiss his new wife.
Sadly, Rowden died a mere 10 hours after his wedding ceremony but his heartbreaking wedding video has been seen by more than 8.5 million people after his brother posted it on YouTube.
