Wedding vow examples for you to use

Rather than sticking to the traditional wedding script, many couples are choosing their own wedding vows, or even writing new vows from scratch. If you’re looking for something meaningful to say during the most significant part of your wedding ceremony, here are seven wedding vow examples. Wedding vow example 1

______, I declare my love for you, I invite you to share my life as my husband/wife. I promise always to respect your needs, and to accept you as you are. I will be kind, unselfish and trusting. I will work for a happy life for both of us.

Wedding vow example 2

______, I want to be with you always just as you are. I choose you above all others, to share my life with me in marriage. I love you for yourself, and I want you to become all that you can be. I promise to honour this pledge as long as I live.

Wedding vow example 3

______, I take you as my husband/wife. To say I love you is not enough
To try to condense the depth of my feelings into a few words is impossible.
It doesn’t tell of the respect
I have for you as an individual,
Nor how I appreciate
How tender and caring you are,
Nor the joy I find in your laughter,
Nor the tears I hold back for your pain,
Nor the strength you give when I need it,

Wedding vow example 4

Wedding vow example 5

Wedding vow example 6

I promise to give you the best of myself, and to ask of you no more than you can give. I promise to respect you as your own person, and to realise that your interests, desires and needs are no less important than my own. I promise to share with you my time and attention, and to bring joy, strength and imagination to our relationship. I promise to keep myself open to you. I promise to grow along with you – to be willing to face changes as we both change in order to keep our relationship alive and exciting. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all I feel inside in the only way I know how completely and forever.

Wedding vow example 7

______, you are my best friend and my one true love. When I’m with you, I feel I can be the person I want to be, and I cannot imagine my life without you. You make me smile, you stick up for me, you take care of me and you are always interested in what I have to say and do. Today, I want to make a promise to you and to myself, in front of our friends and family, to love and honour, protect and respect you for the rest of my life.

I vow to trust and value your opinions, and stand by your actions. I pledge to always treat you as my best friend, and equal. I will ask for help when I need it, and offer help when necessary. Let us be friends and lovers, and grow old together. And let us make all the years of our lives together be the best years of our lives. For now and forever.
