Oh my gosh, nothing like forking out deposits to all your vendors to give you a kick into reality and make you look at your budget a little bit closer.
Budgeting for a wedding is not as easy as I thought it would have been. Trying to make sure I don’t see that little item that wont really make me that far over my budget. We all know that one thing turns into another and then another thing will turn into one more. Then I have 5 things sitting in my lounge room that weren’t on my list in the first place. Not that I did that or anything.
I have learnt that DIY is not always the cheapest way if you don’t watch what you are doing to the tee. The amount of sample things I have bought to try before I make things is huge. I need to keep a closer eye on it because it is going to get really expensive if I don’t. On a side note I was working everything into our budget, due to my purchases I had to change it around a little, when I realised that all the vendors have different dates required for the final payment. It would have been so much easier if they were all on the same day. Now I have to pay one 4 weeks before the day, another is 8 weeks and there are some that are 6 weeks its all crazy/
