When a venue let down Gabriella, 29, and Tim, 31, they decided to marry in Tim’s parents’ beautiful Worcester garden.
“We live a two-minute walk from their house and our church is a further two-minute walk down the road,” explains Gabi. “One of my main priorities was that I didn’t want to have to bus people everywhere. I loved that everyone could walk from their hotels to the church and then on to the reception, led by our amazing processional jazz band to keep guests entertained along the way.”
Their British Garden wedding on June 9, 2018 included 90 guests in the day and 120 in the evening. “Tim’s talented friend captured our silhouette along with our canine-child Saffa, and this formed our wedding artwork which we included on all our stationery and also on our cake,” says Gabi.
The couple did away with the traditional top table at their reception, instead they had a 24-foot long table seating the full wedding party and their plus ones under an incredible hanging flower installation. “Even though there is definitely a lot more work and stress getting married in a garden, I loved the flexibility of being able to define every single element of the day and make it completely unique to us,” smiles the bride.

Photographer Ashok Suren praised the bride, who is also a wedding and events planner, for her breathtaking touches.
“The wedding included many nice touches including a brass band who walked with guests from the church to the reception,” says the couple’s photographer.
“All our other guests surrounded us on round tables meaning there wasn’t a bad seat in the house,” says Gabi.
Gabi let her bridesmaids choose designs that would suit them.
