A-list actress Scarlett Johansson is engaged to her beau of nine months, Romain Dauriac.
Dauriac, a French advertising executive, proposed to the 28-year-old stunner last month but the first hint an engagement had occurred was this week when the couple stepped onto the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival.
Sporting a plunging black gown, Scarlett’s wedding ring finger was also adorned with a huge vintage Art Deco-style engagement ring.
Scarlett has previously been quoted as saying, “I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually.
“But it is different. It’s hard to put into words. To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn’t mean you have to be married.
“I never think about marriage. Is that weird? The only time I ever think about it is when people ask me. It’s really not important to me.”
Scarlett was married to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds between 2008 and 2011. Ryan went on to marry Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively in September last year.
