If you’re looking for tried and tested marriage advice, then here it is. According to Golden Globe-winning actor Hugh Jackman “happy wife, happy life” is a slogan he lives by, and, it appears his attitude has been successful as the Hollywood star and his wife Deborra-Lee are about to celebrate 20 years of marriage.
Hugh, 47, who is currently in Australia to promote his new movie Eddie the Eagle, has spoken candidly on the white carpet to Sunrise host Edwina Bartholomew at the film’s Australian premiere.
When asked if he had a slogan that he lived by, Hugh said, “Just have a go…and the other one, most important one, is drummed into me every single day, “happy wife, happy life”.
The Boy from OZ star giggled before explaining he and wife Deborra-Lee are about to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
Deborra-Lee, 60, joined her Wolverine husband on the white carpet, looking relaxed in a black ensemble, finished off with chunky wedge slides and her hair tied back.
The couple, who married in 1996 and share two children together Oscar, 15, and Ava, 10, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary this April.
