Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea, who became engaged to LA Lakers’ basketball player Nick Young three weeks ago, has shared plans for her big day with TV host James Cordon, who will be officiating her nuptials.
The Sydney-born rapper, 25, revealed she has already hired a wedding planner and that her friend, fellow singer Demi Lovato, will be one of her four bridesmaids.
“Demi Lovato is going to be one of my bridesmaids. So she better sing at my wedding!” said Iggy.
The bride-to-be also revealed her fiance hopes to entice R&B singer R. Kelly to sing at their reception so he can sing a duet with R. Kelly.
In a Q&A hosted on her Twitter account, Iggy told her more than 5.27 million followers, “Hmmmm I’m def wearing white or ivory. I do want a pretty traditional style wedding.”
The interview took place during one of Corden’s now infamous Carpool Karaoke slots, in which he and a celebrity singer drive around Los Angeles belting out the singer’s most famous tunes. However, during this Carpool Karaoke session, Corden made a rare pit stop – at a wedding dress boutique where Iggy – and James – both tried on wedding dresses.
Iggy chose a traditional white, beaded, strapless gown which she topped off with a sheer white veil.
Finally, James asked Iggy who would be officiating her wedding and, when she told him that she didn’t know yet, he asked if he could do the job if he managed to get ordained.
“If you get ordained, I promise,” replied Iggy, causing James to well up with tears.
