Ok, so we all love a bit of Kardashian gossip, but given the gals are famous for nothing more than, well, being famous, even we were surprised that the rights to Kimbo and Kris’s impending nuptials have been sold to People magazine – for a whopping $USD 1 million.
Yep, the 30-year-old’s wedding to NBA star Kris Humphries will cost the mag one million bucks, which is a bargain given rival magazine OK had reportedly offered the couple $USD 2 million before pulling out of the bidding.
“People’s Kim engagement and cover did well, but did not do as well as they hoped,” says Extra TV quoting a “source”.
“Over a million copies were sold, which is good, but not their best. And when you spend that much on a cover story you expect it to sell.”
A second insider is alleged to have added, “Some editors think the cheating scandal and the over-the-top ring and wedding could be a turn-off.”
