It’s the case of the supermodel who booked the superstar. Yes, Ms Kate Moss has hired the indomitable Dame Shirley Bassey to sing at her July nuptials to The Kills rocker Jamie Hince.

Mirror.co.uk has quoted a source close to Kate, 37, saying: “Dame Shirley was always top of her wish list for the wedding entertainment, and she’s over the moon that she’s agreed to perform for her.

“Kate wanted high-end glamour and good old-fashioned entertainment, and Dame Shirley was the perfect choice. She agreed to play the gig immediately and Kate can’t wait for the big day. It will be a real highlight.”

Kate and Shirls have, apparently, been friends for years and The Mirror says the 74-year-old singing legend, famous for such hits as Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Big Spender, was thrilled to be asked to perform at the wedding.

It’s said Dame Shirley will be paid a whopping £100,000 to perform during the nuptials. Boy, do we love mate’s rates. Ehem.

Fellow supermodel Naomi Campbell and actress Sadie Frost are also expected to be bridesmaids.
