Chandos House is a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse, built by the Adam family between 1769 and 1771. The house is located in the heart of London's medical quarter, between Portland Place, Oxford Circus and the fashionable Marylebone Village; it is also just five minutes walk from Oxford Circus and Bond Street tube stations.
Over the past 240+ years Chandos House has been a private residence to various Dukes, Barons and Counts, an Austrian Embassy, an events venue and even went through a period of disrepair in the 20th century.
Today the house offers 6 principal function rooms, each with their own unique character and ambiance, as well as a charming outdoor walled Garden Terrace, which provides a tranquil haven just moments from the bustle of Oxford Street.
There are also 17 individually furnished bedrooms which allow for the potential of exclusive hire of the whole house for a special occasion such as a wedding.
Chandos House is operated by the Royal Society of Medicine. The experienced events team offers a highly personalised and flexible service, and are capable of staging any number of events:
