OVERVIEW

Photography feels a bit like having a super-power; the ability to freeze time to 1/200th of a second is something I still find rather mind-blowing.

I began taking photographs to remember my visits back to Japan, where I grew up in a small town among beautiful mountains and rice fields. It was in Japan that I started noticing and capturing people.

Photography feels a bit like having a super-power; the ability to freeze time to 1/200th of a second is something I still find rather mind-blowing.

Having recently gotten married myself, I know how important photography is to help you remember not just the big scheduled moments from your wedding day but also the little happenings - a quick glance or touch or a tear that is quickly wiped away - which tell so much about your feelings towards those you love the most.

One of the things you can expect from me is that I will photograph your wedding with the same focus and attention to detail that you have put into planning your day (which I am assuming is a lot!).

If you or your partner feel a little nervous about being photographed, fear not. I know lots of tricks to help you feel relaxed in front of the camera.

Jennifer you have been absolutely wonderful, diligent, creative and a fantastic Photographer to work with. We've just been looking through the photos and you've captured such beautiful pictures not just of us but the people we love in our lives too. We chose you after seeing a sample of your beautiful work and know you as a lovely person and someone I would be happy to have at my wedding as everyone will get along with you. All the guests noted that you worked hard all day, capturing beautiful shots from all angles, great facial expressions and the natural positions people were in. You also created beautiful shots of me and my husband. You were a wonderful person to work with and we would happily recommend you to anyone who needs a great photographer!

Jen was the first photographer who listened to us and understood our vision for the day and the style of photography (photojournalism) we wanted. We loved the samples of her work we saw. The icing on the cake was that we really enjoyed talking to her - it was like talking to a friend who knew us. Jen worked tirelessly. Before our day, she suggested we meet at the venue for a recce and gave us advice on the position of the sun for the time when our ceremony would take place. She kept in touch regularly throughout the build up. On the day, she was everywhere capturing all the wonderful moments of our day. Jen is very friendly, approachable and a great professional. When we got the photos back everyone commented on how beautiful they were and how honestly they reflected the mood and emotion of the day.
