My name is Leanne Hodson and I have been a Make-Up Artist for four years. I did my training in London, in 2011, at Beauty Base London.
I have always loved being creative and over the years this has taken many forms. I attended Bath Spa University, Bath, to study Drama. I have always been drawn to all things theatrical, including costume and make-up.My other passion is art. I draw and paint in my own time and this is something I like to incorporate into my Make-Up work. I look forward to getting into the studio and creating artisitic make-up concepts that are striking and unusual.
Since doing my training I have gained a wealth of experience. In 2011 I was an Assistant Make-Up Artist for Fashion Mavericks in London, a show for new designers that runs alongside London Fashion week. It was a very intense job but I loved the pressure and having to work at 100mph.
In the same year I worked on a pilot comedy episode. It was a very interesting experience. We were working in a small flat in London and I had to do the make-up from a tiny bathroom. I also stepped in to look after the flat's resident cat as it kept meowing during filming....a Make-Up Artists role can be very varied!
In 2013 I was asked to do make-up for the Vidal Sassoon, Covent Garden salon's Assistant Soiree, at the Wella Studios in London. It was a fantastic job and a fantastic opportunity.
