We had an absolutely perfect wedding at Merriscourt, with everything made so easy for us by the incredible team. Nothing was too much trouble and we loved having the venue to ourselves for the whole weekend. It meant we could settle in the day before, set everything up and have a run through of the ceremony which meant that the big day felt so calm and went so smoothly. The whole Merriscourt team were amazing at listening to what we wanted and making it happen - nothing was too much trouble and they brought our vision to life. Special thanks to Eva, Artur and Emily who welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home so we could have our perfect wedding. We had an April wedding so had planned for all weather eventualities but in the end we had glorious sunshine which meant we could hold our drinks reception outside. Everyone commented on how incredible the food was, it was so delicious and perfectly presented. We would recommend Merriscourt to anyone, we wish we could do it all over again!

We got married at Merriscourt in September 2023 - it has taken us a while to write this review as we wanted to try and do it justice! Service pre-wedding - ever since our first visit, we were really impressed with the service from the team - big shout out to Emily and Eva who are both wonderful at their job, and really care about ensuring you have the best experience possible. No question was too small, they responded quickly to all our emails, and were happy to have as many planning meetings as we wanted, which really put our minds at ease. The whole planning process was so smooth we were able to relax in the run up to the big day in the knowledge that Merriscourt were on top of everything. Food - Many reviews mention the quality and presentation of the food at Merrsicourt, and we are pleased to report that it really did live up to our expectations. Everything, from the canapes to the chocolate fondants, looked and tasted incredible (and portions were generous!). Those with allergies / dietary requirements were provided with equally tasty alternatives that certainly didn't feel like an afterthought. We were able to tailor the food to our tastes, working with the Chef and catering team to develop a menu that was absolutely perfect - many of the guests have since told us how much they enjoyed the food! Venue - The pictures of Merriscourt speak for themselves, it is a beautiful venue, but what set it apart from many of the other Cotswold wedding venues we saw were the many unique spaces that were available. Unlike many venues, the ceremony and reception take place in different barns, and we loved the quirky Gallery - perfect for relaxing/drinks reception, and the Courtyard with the iconic tree lit up at night, and firepits to keep people sat outside warm. The surrounding grounds are stunning - we were lucky enough to get a glorious sunset which was a real highlight! We chose Merriscourt as our wedding venue because of the dreamy, private setting; the ability to have the wedding party stay on site; and the option to enjoy the space for more than just one day. When looking for a venue, it was such a rarity to find a barn-like setting in the Cotswolds with longer access times. Being in and out in one day just wasn't an option for us, when we planned to put so much time and effort into the most important event of our lives. Having just had our wedding, I can confidently say that booking this venue was one of the best decisions we made. Not only was it an incredible choice for all the reasons above, but the staff are FANTASTIC and went above and beyond to help us, including negotiating with a difficult coach driver at midnight to get our guests home. Eva and Emily made us feel like we were in safe hands from the beginning, and without a wedding planner it is essential to have a venue that can act in this capacity for you. My husband is a real foodie, so the meal was a key part of the day, and it didn't disappoint. From the private tasting to the day itself, I've rarely had food this good; all our guests enjoyed it, with many saying it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. My only useful comment for anyone reading this is to be mindful that the New Cottage is a little out of the way from the main venue, which caused a few problems for my Mum and sisters going back and forth on the day of the wedding. Unfortunately you can't cut through the driveway of the main residence, which makes sense, but was something we overlooked on the site visit. In hindsight, I would have kept all family within the main grounds. Otherwise, the weekend was perfect - if we were doing it all again, I wouldn't hesitate to book Merriscourt. It's worth every penny, and more!!

We always thought from the start we would like to have Merriscourt as our wedding reception venue but after meeting with the team (Emily and Eva) and going to a viewing we knew we had to do it. The team are so responsive, understanding and really helpful. The venue itself is just gorgeous yet still manages to feel relaxed and understated. It goes without saying that the food and accommodation on offer is also just the best! Thank you so much again x

Booking Merriscourt for our wedding was the best decision we could have made! Not only is the venue stunning (we fell in love with the stone barn the moment we saw it!), but the whole experience - from our first visit to the big day itself - exceeded all expectations. The team there are incredible and supported us every step of the way, with excellent communication and advice from the start. We always felt like we were in very safe hands! A special shout out to Eva who did such a fantastic job managing the day itself. She was such a warm and reassuring person to have around and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The service on the day was immaculate and everything ran like clockwork. The food was incredible! We went for a sharing menu and had a lot of fun choosing what to include (we were even able to include some tailor-made choices). It was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding and several of our guests have said the same to me. Everyone went home very well fed! The accommodation was gorgeous and it was so special to be able to stay there the night before with our family and bridal party. We really did have the perfect day and cannot recommend Merriscourt enough!

My husband and I got married at Merriscourt in July and the only way I can describe it is absolutely PERFECT! Words cannot do it justice. The whole team are incredible and nothing is too much, they do everything to ensure your day is exactly how you want it and everything goes smoothly which took a lot of stress off our shoulders. The venue is stunning and there are so many special touches. The accommodation is such a bonus and is all absolutely gorgeous with roomy, lovely decorated rooms. The food was Michelin star quality and our guests are still raving about it now! We had cocktails for our drinks reception which were delicious and the canapés were so yummy. Eva and Emily were incredible throughout the whole process and Georgie, Artur and all of the Merriscourt staff were absolute stars for the whole weekend! Even the rain didn’t stop us having a perfect day.

What a wonderful place. Our daughter recently got married at Merriscourt and the whole weekend went perfectly. The staff here are superb and do everything to ensure the wedding was a joy to attend. The accommodation is excellent, so clean and everything you need is available. On the day the food and drinks were fantastic, the staff were always smiling. Emily and Ava ran everything so well, it all went so smoothly. Thank you so much for making the wedding so wonderful. You and the location are amazing.
