With mutual friends in common, Natalie Budziosz and Lee Harrison spent plenty of time together before their relationship grew into love.
“We had always got on really well as friends and almost 10 years after our first meeting… we realised we had more than just friendship feelings towards each other,” Natalie, 30, says.
Three years later, on the same week they moved into their first house together, Lee, 32, got down on one knee.
Sixteen months of planning led up to the Bury, Lancashire couple’s traditional wedding on September 2, 2016. They married in their local church – St Hilda’s – in front of 110 friends and family. One hundred and fifty guests joined in the evening celebrations, held at the elegant Lancashire Manor Hotel.
Natalie says the whole day went off without a hitch. “The weather held off for us and, for the arrival at the venue, the sunshine was on our side and we got some beautiful photos with smiles all round. Lee was more emotional than I was and that was really nice to see how much it meant to him.”
She adds, “We’re not the most romantic people in the world but we show our love for each other in other ways that are special to us.”
