The George Hotel & Brasserie

A stunning former Coaching Inn brought to life by the Furbank Family, owners since 2003. It has been brought up to date without losing its heritage.

The bustling wine bar and brasserie provides a haven to unwind, entertain and do business. Located next door to the Anne Furbank ladies' fashion shop (www.annefurbank.co.uk), the George is open every day from 8am.

For overnight stays choose from either an Executive, Double or Standard rooms all with the comforts you would expect from a boutique hotel including a selection of beauty treatments in the comfort of your room to help you unwind and look your best.

The George offers twelve beautifully designed bedrooms all characterised after their namesake of a famous “George”. Bathrooms feature bath with drencher shower, soft bathrobes and luxurious toiletries.

Our two AA Rosette Brasserie offers casual dining throughout the day serving breakfast, lunch and evening meals seven days a week. During the summer months, al fresco dining is also available on the popular terrace. Afternoon teas are served everyday between 3pm and 5pm.

There is a wide selection of wines, including 20 house wines available by the glass as well as over 100 wines from all over the world to suit every palate.
