Neale James was voted best wedding photographer in London and the South East at the 2014 Wedding Industry Awards, and is widely regarded as one of the leading documentary photographers in the UK today.
A former Radio 1 broadcaster, Neale's background in sound alongside his documentary photographic style has seen him become the pioneer of the wedding Photofilm.
“My heart lies in documentary wedding photography. I’m often described as having a natural emotive style, informal, the eyes perhaps for a couple on their day. I don’t run around shouting at guests or dictating the day. During the few moments I’m called upon to photograph family or bridal portraits, I subtly go about my work in a relaxed way.”
Recognised for his reportage approach to wedding photography, Neale also shoots a limited number of portrait commissions in a similar documentary style each year creating family heirloom albums and short legacy films for former wedding clients with their extended young families, through to family reunion events and grandparent keepsake collections.
We really cannot thank you enough for how wonderfully you captured the day. Your style of photography is stunning, I said this to you before but you manage to capture the people and that is what is important. You clearly have a passion and love for wedding photography and this comes across in the pictures. You are thoughtful and diplomatic and really helped the smooth running of the day itself.
