Pulling off a beautiful wedding for under \u00a33,000 is possible \u2013 just ask Cassie and Lee.<\/p>\n

The pair, both aged 38, married at their rustic eclectic wedding on November 24, 2018 with 30 guests in the day and 60 in the evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a small wedding in a rustic room in a village pub,\u201d she says of their venue, Star and Garter<\/a>, in Linlithgow. \u201cWe had a \u00a33,000 budget and near enough managed to stick to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The bride snapped up her stunning dress for \u00a3300, and she made most of the accessories and d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brooch bouquet incorporated special items that symbolise us and a brooch of my mum’s, and I used bead embroidery to make my wedding bracelet,\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n

Cassie\u2019s daughter played the piano as her mum walked down the aisle, and all the children were part of the service with a unity candle lit. \u201cI made us hand ties for the ceremony and we added charms to our own to represent each of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple wanted the day to reflect them as a couple, rather than opt for a theme. \u201cLee is an OCD clean freak coin collector and I am a messy artist\u2026 total opposites,\u201d smiles Cassie. \u201cWe had lucky penny favours and little ‘Drink Me’ bottles of moonshine.\u201d<\/p>\n
