{"id":222075,"date":"2018-05-15T00:36:37","date_gmt":"2018-05-14T14:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/katie-ferg-create-rustic-wonderland-woodland-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T12:45:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T01:45:23","slug":"katie-ferg-create-rustic-wonderland-woodland-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/katie-ferg-create-rustic-wonderland-woodland-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Katie and Ferg create rustic wonderland at woodland wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Katie and Ferg describe their woodland wedding in Kent as pure joy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were surrounded by all the people who we love and love us,&#8221; Katie, 29, says of their August 19, 2017 wedding.<\/p>\n<p>The London couple, who met at university, returned home to Kent for their woodland wedding, celebrated with 180 friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Katie and Ferg, also 29, wed at\u00a0St Laurence&#8217;s Church,\u00a0Hawkhurst, before the celebrations continued in a marquee at the family home nearby.<\/p>\n<p>Guests enjoyed drinks by the pool to the tune of a steel band and then the reception officially got under way in the beautifully-decorated marquee.<\/p>\n<p>Hanging candles and lanterns and plenty of greenery added to the woodland feel.<\/p>\n<p>Katie says it was a perfect celebration.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nothing beats good food, wine, friends, family and music. I wouldn\u2019t want to do it all again as I wouldn\u2019t change a thing,&#8221; she says.<\/p>\n<p>For photographer Elizabeth Holt, it was the little details and candid shots of guests that helped make the day special.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The flowers were absolutely stunning, especially in the marquee so for the detail shots I was in my absolute element,&#8221; Elizabeth says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everyone was so friendly towards myself and my assistant, friends and family were lovely.
