{"id":219299,"date":"2018-01-23T10:07:54","date_gmt":"2018-01-22T23:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/karaoke-king-and-queen-celebrate-classic-intimate-wedding-with-50-guests\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T12:25:26","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T01:25:26","slug":"karaoke-king-and-queen-celebrate-classic-intimate-wedding-with-50-guests","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/karaoke-king-and-queen-celebrate-classic-intimate-wedding-with-50-guests\/","title":{"rendered":"Karaoke king and queen celebrate classic intimate wedding with 50 guests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Elyssa, 26, and Lewis, 25, aren\u2019t big into parties, but you\u2019d never guess looking at the wedding they put on for their 50 guests.<\/p>\n<p>The St Albans couple married at their classic intimate wedding on September 3, 2017 with a ceremony and reception at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingVenues\/Hertfordshire\/OffleyPlace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Offley Place<\/a>\u00a0in Hertfordshire. \u201cWe didn\u2019t want a disco, but we didn\u2019t want people to be bored, either, so we settled on two things we; board games and karaoke,\u201d Elyssa explains. \u201cWe had a pianist throughout the day, playing me down the aisle and all through the evening \u2013 he was really happy to help us out with karaoke.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Their photographer Sean Wood rated their choice too. \u00a0\u201cThe wedding itself was different in that there was no first dance. Instead the guys did a first song \u2013 which was fantastic,\u201d recalls Sean. That first song was Elyssa and Lewis singing <em>A Thousand Years<\/em>. \u201cIt was terrifying, but fantastic to perform it and see everyone\u2019s reactions,\u201d says the bride.<\/p>\n<p>The couple\u2019s calm nature and relaxed approach to their day helped recreate beautiful wedding images. \u201c\u201cI think the very best images are those showing genuine moments of emotion, and this is
