{"id":218875,"date":"2017-12-19T07:00:18","date_gmt":"2017-12-18T20:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/kate-and-gary-choose-thornton-manor-for-modern-classic-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T12:22:47","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T01:22:47","slug":"kate-and-gary-choose-thornton-manor-for-modern-classic-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/kate-and-gary-choose-thornton-manor-for-modern-classic-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Kate and Gary choose Thornton Manor for modern classic wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Bride Kate Storey, who admits she has a serious obsession with fresh flowers, married her beau Gary Higham at Thornton Manor in Chesire on August 18, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The couple, aged 29 and 35 respectively, opted for a modern classic wedding with just \u201csome\u201d traditional elements. \u201cWe didn\u2019t want it to be too formal,\u201d explains Kate. \u201cI am obsessed with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingFlowers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fresh flowers<\/a> and really wanted to be colourful and stand out which I think they did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Photographer Rachel said her documentary-style shooting was a perfect match for the \u201cchilled out\u201d couple. \u201cI don\u2019t go in for anything cheesy or lots of awkward formal pictures. I aim to fit into their day,\u201d she says. The beautiful venue, she said, was a welcome relief to the weather outside. \u201cThe weather was a bit crazy on this day \u2026 happily <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingVenues\/Merseyside\/ThorntonManor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thornton Manor <\/a>is as beautiful inside as it is outside so we had no problem in finding spots for family pictures and portraits.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As Gary\u2019s family were visiting from the Isle of Wight the pair made sure the celebrations continued for as long as possible.
