{"id":215379,"date":"2017-08-16T07:00:41","date_gmt":"2017-08-15T21:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/heather-and-darrell-focus-on-fun-at-homemade-rustic-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T11:59:15","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T00:59:15","slug":"heather-and-darrell-focus-on-fun-at-homemade-rustic-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/heather-and-darrell-focus-on-fun-at-homemade-rustic-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Heather and Darrell focus on fun at homemade rustic wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">As long as Heather Crown and Darrell Elsinor left their homemade rustic wedding married, and guests had smiles on their faces, they had achieved their simple goal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll we wanted from our wedding was to get married, and for everyone to have a brilliant time and dance like fools,\u201d explains Heather, 31, of her plans with Darrell, 32. \u201cWe didn\u2019t want it to be formal and serious, just really good fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Their ceremony at St John\u2019s Church, Snods Edge, was followed by a reception next door at St John\u2019s Church Hall. \u201cWhen we saw Snods Edge we knew it was perfect, it\u2019s so beautiful and rural, and the church is just next to the hall so people didn\u2019t have to worry about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/articles\/transport-your-wedding-guests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travelling between<\/a> two venues,\u201d says Heather.<\/p>\n<p>And their low-key attitude transferred ideally to their photo shoot. Photographer Kimberley Waterson said the couple\u2019s laid back and relaxed approach meant she could capture a \u201cdocumentary-style\u201d collection of images. \u201cI get this style from my past career as a Royal Air Force and war photographer,\u201d explains Kimberley. The only hurdle on the day? \u201cWind!
